I couldn't decide which I liked more. Carbon black + E39 is so classic

Ugh I know. I have an E39 so I'm biased t'wards that version of the M5. Buuuuuuuut the E34 that was just featured on BAT got me pining for an E34 M5....

This is all very, very ironic isn't it?

you can find an example for pretty cheap if you're willing to go slighly higher mileage. Pics of the E39! I have an E90, I still wish I spent the money on a E39 M5 lol.

Oh I don't have the M5. I have a 530i M-Sport. Sport rims, slightly lower suspension, and-most importantly-a 5 speed. Plus it has an aluminum front subframe (compared to the steel one on the M5 due to hevier front end) and rack and pinion steering (rather than reciprocating ball in the M5). So I think it's actually better.

your thoughts? http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/16F872A…
Not many E39's in my area sadly.

Looks good to me! Clean interior, nice exterior and rims. How many miles? The 3.0 in the 530i can go for ever if maintained well. I'd find a good, well know BMW mechanic nearby you and get it checked out. Check the rear suspension boots (?) They're torn on mine and can not be replaced individually. You have to replace the A arms (?) along with them. All one unit and therefore a bit pricey. Another thing on the E39's (and all 5 and 7 series of the era) is the dash LED's going out. Common though and not too expensive to replace but a hassle. If most of them are there then you're good.
Good luck!
